Astro Roulette

Astro Roulette LogoThe developers at 1 x 2 Gaming have given the game of roulette a signs of the zodiac facelift for this game, creating a wheel and a board based on all things astronomy.

It’s a very peaceful game to play with twinkly sound effects to keep things calm, but the structure of the game will be recognisable to everyone.

There are a few differences when it comes to the bets you can make as well as the way the wheel is structured which will be explained, but other than that it’s the game you already love but with a totally different atmosphere.

The Board

This looks very different to what you will be used to but actually, the bets you can make are pretty much the same.

The biggest change is the singles or straight ups. There are now only twelve of them, one for each sign of the zodiac, and an infinity symbol which takes the place of the zero.

You can still place splits and corner bets though, as we have done in our image above.

The only 50/50 bet you can make is on positive or negative energy symbols, but you can place chips on a horizontal or vertical line too, denoted here by the four season; spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and by the arrow, square, and plus symbols.

The final bet type is the elements; fire, water, earth, and wind. There are three symbols in each so you have almost a 1 in 4 chance of winning this bet (accounting for the infinity symbol).

Note: The button to ‘Clear Single Bets’ doesn’t mean it will clear all the single bets. It means you can remove one bet at a time. The curser will turn into an X which you then use to remove the chips you don’t want.

The Wheel

You won’t notice too much of a difference when it comes to the wheel (apart from some patchy graphics); all of the symbols are obviously different to reflect those on the board, but you will still see the diamonds – or slats, disruptors, pins, they have many names – and the usual number of pockets.

The only real difference is that each symbol has three pockets assigned to it rather than the usual one.

This obviously means that the ball is three times more likely to land in the pocket you want it to, as there are fewer symbols on the wheel.

The only symbol that this does not apply to is the infinity symbol which only has one pocket.

Payouts

Taking the above changes into account, you will understand why the payouts have been altered to reflect the probability of your prediction coming true.

Here they are:

Bet Type Payout
Straight Up 11:1
Split 5:1
Corner 2:1
Infinity 35:1
Infinity Split (+1) 8:1
Infinity Corner (+2) 4:1
Horizontal Line (Shapes) 2:1
Vertical Line (Season) 3:1
Element 3:1
Positive/Negative 1:1

This all means that you are likely to win more often than with regular roulette, especially with straight up bets, but your payouts will be smaller.

RTP

Astro Roulette

Despite all of the changes made to the game, the theoretical return to player percentage remains at 97.30%.

This is the same RTP as a regular game of European roulette so the game has been well balanced while taking these changes into account.
